Panama is a small and beautiful country in Central America , bordering Costa Rica to the north-west and Colombia to the south-east. There are no road connections towards Colombia - the Panamericana is interrupted at this point. Panama has an area of just over 77,000 km².
The most famous structure in Panama is the Panama Canal - the eighth wonder of the world . The Panama Canal connects the Caribbean and the Pacific at the narrowest point on the continent.
