Destinations in Panama
What are the must-visits in Panama?
The Panama Canal is undisputedly one of the highlights of a visit to Panama and is a must-visit program.
But that's not the only destination that's considered mandatory in Panama. Also definitely worth visiting in Panama:
Panama City - Ciudad de Panama
A city of millions, located on the canal and the Pacific. The city has a very international flair, is home to every international bank and can probably match any European city with its high-rise banks
Far surpass. But there is also plenty of good food to enjoy. All major hotel chains in the world are present. Small but fine hotels are waiting for their guests. All of this with a very good price-performance ratio.
Las Islas de San Blas
The San Blas Islands are 365 small islands (one for each day of the year) and are located on the northern Caribbean coast of Panamá in the "Guna" territory. The area is an independent region, called the "Comarca Guna Yala". This extremely authentic travel destination offers dream beaches, deserted islands, Indian culture and fantastic water. .....more information about San Blas as a travel destination here
David
There's no real reason to stop here. But it is on the route from Costa Rica to Panama (and back), on the route from Panama City to Bocas and to the volcanoes in Chiriqui.
Bocas del Toro
Despite its charm, this wonderful island world has still not succumbed to mass tourism. Located on the Caribbean coast of Panama, close to the border with Costa Rica (and therefore slightly more expensive than the rest of Panama), this archipelago is a unique place to relax and get to know the underwater world.
