The journey itself is an adventure (which we are of course happy to take care of if you wish): 3.2 km after the entrance to Punta Matapalo, a dirt road turns off to the left, the path is signposted, it is recommended that you only use four-wheel drive. Wheel vehicles can be driven on.

The German owner Daniel bought 77 hectares of land here to protect it. He uses one hectare for this wonderfully equipped luxury lodge with 15 bungalows, some of which are connected to each other with suspension bridges. Every bungalow is different, some with huge open-air pools. The lodge offers a great pool in the jungle and a bar-restaurant with 360 degree views.

You have to climb a lot of steps to get to the sea, where you can refresh yourself in tide pools at low tide. Numerous tours are offered, including ziplining, rappelling at 4 waterfalls, hikes and night tours. The overnight stays are always offered including full board.

The Remanso Lodge sees itself as an environmental protection project and you notice that on every corner. There is reforestation going on here and as a visitor you can take part in it. A large part of the country is a private nature reserve, which guarantees a home for the local animals. Many nature tours take place from the lodge - here you can see everything that the tropical rainforest has to offer.
