The El Silencio Lodge & Spa is located in the beautiful and remote place called Bajos del Toro, near the Poás volcano. Even the journey through the mountainous landscape shows a perfect picture of the beautiful nature that this area has to offer. Located in the middle of the cloud forest with a variety of hiking opportunities, but still easy to reach from the capital San José, the El Silencio Lodge offers absolute relaxation in a 50,000 m² area.
El Silencio Lodge & Spa's 14 luxurious (and very expensive) suites are located on the hillside, with wonderful mountain, forest or river views.
Each suite offers a living room and bedroom with very good beds and heating (yes, that makes sense here), private terrace, with locally handcrafted rocking chairs, a heated outdoor whirlpool with hydromassage and incredible views of the surrounding cloud forest and the crystal clear rivers of the nature reserve.
The top restaurant offers healthy food, some of which is home-grown - everything is of the finest quality. You can get completely renewed in the professional spa.
The cost of the stay includes a guided tour into the nearby jungle and on the private, very well-maintained jungle paths. The lodge is located near the very famous Toro Falls. A beautiful destination in the immediate vicinity is three hidden waterfalls in the jungle.
