The town of Puerto Jimenez can still be easily reached by vehicle
There are regular bus connections from Palmar Sur to Puerto Jimenez.
You no longer need a jeep to get to Puerto Jimenez. However, the road that leads from Puerto Jimenez on to the Osa Peninsula to Carate is only passable with a good jeep and a lot of courage.
There is also a passenger ferry that runs once a day from Golfito via the "Golfo dulce" to Puerto Jimenez in 90 minutes, as well as a speedboat that covers this route three times a day. The cost is approximately US$8 per person.

For accommodation in P. Jimenez we recommend the Posada Jimenez.
If you are looking for a real jungle experience, you should stay outside of the town. On the route towards Carate is the el Remanso Lodge , a dream. The perfect combination between comfort and wild nature. Equally exciting is theLuna Lodge , which is located in the Corcovado National Park above Carate. Exciting and perfect!
