Parque Nacional de Mochima:
The Mochima National Park offers crystal clear waters
And white beaches, colorful corals & an intact fauna
These coastal waters are an ideal habitat for fish and other marine animals. The national park has a size of 950 square kilometers, the majority of which lies below sea level.
The bay of Mochima includes with its island groups "Las Borrachas", "Las Caracas" and "Las Chimanas" a veritable treasure chest of nature, a wonderful combination of sandy coves and craggy foothills covered with dense forests, and dazzling coastal mountains that nestle close to the beaches.
Reefs and mangroves provide good protection for fish and birds. The starting point should always be the friendly fishing place of Mochima, where there are also a number of simple accommodation and restaurants. We will take care of your reservation in Mochima, and can give advice on tours and activities to do locally.
A tour that you must do, is the Dolphin Tour. Here you go with a local fisherman through a large part of the national park, searching unifying big dolphin shoals. Almost always you get lucky, and may accompany these fascinating animals at play.
