The Lapa Rios Lodge is the number one for the noble-lodges in the rainforest of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica. The lodge was created in complete harmony with the environment, the rainforest and beaches.
There are only 16 private bungalows, each surrounded by rainforest and far of each other. The main house, with a restaurant and a fantastic view point over the tops of giant trees, is about 30 feet above the coast. In Costa Rica is called the rare scarlet macaws as Lapa. The name of the lodge comes from it, as they are often seen here.
Everything is ecologically: energy, laundry, waste water treatment, even the staff. There is offered a variety of wooded trails-guided tours through the rainforest. It is also advisable to undertake an expedition from the Lapa Rios Lodge to Corcovado National Park.
Of course, there is also a swimming pool, a top gourmet restaurant and the opportunity to relax at the bar, or in a hammock.
